Checking in …

I’m not going to make my goal of four posts (or at least check-ins or placeholders) for July. I actually thought I might not put anything at all on here this month. I forgot about the belated July 4 copy&paste.

I’ve been busy thinking up ideas & then being afraid to share or act on them.

This week I finally took a little action. It’s a good thing, because I have a deadline & time is ticking.

Maybe, just maybe, writing this little bit here will help me keep moving forward when the calendar flips to August. I pray it be so. And yet, above all, I pray God’s will be done.

Belated thoughts on freedom

Scenes from the farm & with some of the family in Texas on this Fourth of July. Yard work was prioritized over fishing, after another section of a more than 100-year-old tree came down in a recent storm. It was great to have Mom & Amy stop by to provide a break from the work & then help a little. Later Gene & I went to Gainesville for hot dogs, corn on the cob & watermelon at Mom’s with Amy & Barbie — and Stormy cat! Gene & I stopped by Braum’s for ice cream before returning to the farm, where the boom of fireworks drew me outside to see a few colorful explosions from the porch. Now it’s time to get in bed, because I’m wanting to be awake before dawn’s early light for what’s planned tomorrow! #July4th #familyfaithfreedom
