Days of thanks

So far, I’ve managed a thanksgiving post each day of November. For that I’m grateful too!

30 days of thanksgiving

 Grateful to start a day late. Since I did post yesterday, I just went back & added the hashtag!!

A few more cool things that came home with me from the Angels Unlimited event at Goodrich! Two of the things I posted yesterday have a new home already, another one should by the weekend, & one of these will tomorrow. Giving them away feels as good as buying — but I still plan to keep the pumpkins & jewelry! (At least for now.) #ichoosejoy #30daysofthanksgiving

Angels Unlimited!

I thought my main contribution to the Angels Unlimited Craft & Bake Sale at Goodrich UMC would be volunteer hours & the donation of about 8 loaves of Gene’s sourdough bread for the bake sale. The lure of pretty things changed that!! Haha!! I blame Becky for the pumpkins!! Some of these things need to become gifts, although I’d sure like to keep them!! #feelinggenerous #justasampling #angelsunlimited #ichoosejoy #30daysofthanksgiving

It was a perfect role for me: starring in a musical where principles come before personalities. I thank God for the opportunity. 

Key West!

 What wi I remember when I take time to write?

Oh my! October’s almost over!

This has been a wonderful & busy October & somehow I’ve managed to not post a thing. I may create separate placeholder posts for the three biggies, in case I decide to backtrack & write more about them.

These were the Key West trip w/Gene; starring in the recovery musical at a 12-step convention; & the French / Gilliland Estate sale. 

A key observation in this summary post is that it was very busy & I not only neglected blogging but also got behind on daily actions such as maintaining some order in my personal & shared spaces. I’ve also not taken as much time to enjoy & share sunsets, kitties & fishing! When things get to a more leisurely pace, the weather may become an obstacle. Time will tell.

Even though I haven’t been writing as much or sharing as many photos, I’ve mostly maintained an attitude of choosing joy. I pray it continues. 

One other thing I just want to note is that it caught me a little off guard as I was enjoying Facebook memories of celebrating Becky’s birthday & was reminded this is also the day of 2011 that Daddy died. It’s been 14 years now. Again this year, I’ll likely wait until tomorrow to post anything about that anniversary.

Or I may not post anything, because October wraps up tomorrow with another busy day, as the Goodrich craft fair & bake sale starts on Halloween.
